(check here for official calculations the night before the race….. I’m pretty good at this…. )
Still with extremely sore legs here goes something on this years marathon. Training has been very but very low in mileage and you can tell that at the end I hit the wall, the bridge, a couple spectators, a bus maybe…. Anyway it came to 2hrs46minsand21 seconds and the best Uruguayan time in the history of NYCM!!! Another Uruguayan star came in 4th in the list with a 3:42:44, good job Ivan too!
Training for next yr starts soon, the team needs to grow substantially, please email me at juancito@jctracing.com to get details on how to get to the JCTracing Army 2008.
Sorry for the delay to post this pics. Our JCT boy Martin Eduardo Sturla made it to 13th place overall in the Hawaii Ironman World Championships. Take a look at the pics, his smile says everything.
Time was 8hs 36mins 31 seconds, 55:18 for the swim (80th place) 4:39:21 for the bike (18th place) and an impressive 2:57:06 marathon to finish 13th overall. Great work!!
The guy next to Martin in the picture with the flag is Francisco Pontano, another argentinian who lives in Spain. He’s known for coming 1st out of the water for the last 4 yrs in Hawaii. Hope he joins JCTracing soon.
